Cal’s career is remarkable, but it is his philanthropy that truly defines his legacy. He has spent decades supporting local organizations, strengthening community initiatives, and investing in people. His belief in giving back — in using one’s success to uplift others — has guided every chapter of his life. Throughout his life, Cal championed collaboration, integrity, and service. He invested deeply in the success of others, mentoring leaders, supporting local organizations, and showing up—time and again—for causes that mattered. His influence can be felt across business, sport, philanthropy, and community development, leaving a legacy that continues to shape the region today. To know Cal was to witness a rare combination of determination and kindness. He carried himself with humility, treated people with respect, and believed wholeheartedly in the power of community to create lasting change. As we reflect on his contributions, we honour not only what he achieved, but the spirit with which he achieved it.
